Not-So-Noble Sport

I take umbrage with Al Sanchez’s euphemisms for the term hunter , which include “enjoys nature,” “respect and abide” and “this noble sport.”
A modern-day hunter is little more than a thrill-seeking spoiler who delights in the killing of living creatures in order to satisfy his own convoluted ego.
If common sense and compassion prevail, the hunter is an endangered species who will someday be as extinct as the many fauna his self-aggrandizing industry helped erase from the face of the earth.
“This noble sport” indeed!
