A man sought in the weekend hit-and-run death of a 7-year-old girl was arrested Wednesday night at his girlfriend’s South-Central Los Angeles home, police said.
Elfido Diaz Marroquin, 24, a native of Guatemala, was taken into custody at a residence in the 600 block of West 78th Street, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Bob James said.
Marroquin was the alleged driver of the car that struck and killed Jennifer Chase at 95th and San Pedro streets on Sunday afternoon.
He was booked at the Police Department’s Parker Center Jail on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, James said.
