Two men are in San Diego hospitals after being wounded in two separate incidents Saturday, police said.
Francisco Quintana, 25, was stabbed twice and robbed while walking in the 3100 block of National Avenue at 6:09 p.m., police said.
Quintana was taken to UCSD Medical Center where he was listed in good condition, police said.
In a separate incident, police were called to 44th and Wightman streets at 6:18 a.m., where they found a man with a gunshot wound in his back.
The 44-year-old man was transported to Mercy Hospital, and police said that although the injuries are “not life threatening, it appears he will be a paraplegic.”
Hospital officials said he was in good condition.
Police did not have an explanation for the shooting.
