Mitchelson Plays Mitchelson: Celebrity divorce attorney Marvin Mitchelson stayed in character when he played the lawyer friend of a man about to be married again on the NBC comedy, “The Golden Girls.” “I’m having a lot of fun playing myself,” Mitchelson said Friday after filming the episode, set to air Feb. 9. He played the best man to an oft-married groom about to be wed again to his ex-wife, Dorothy Zbornak, played by Bea Arthur. Mitchelson, who has represented clients such as “Dynasty” star Joan Collins, gained fame with his landmark “palimony” suit in 1976, involving actor Lee Marvin and Michelle Triola Marvin.
