California IN BRIEF : SACRAMENTO : Wilson to Accept $35,000 Pay Increase

Gov.-elect Pete Wilson says he will take the $35,000 annual pay raise authorized by the state salary commission. It would boost his pay from $85,000 a year to $120,000. “It works out to be what a member of the House of Representatives would receive,” Wilson said. “And I can tell you that the governor of California will work a good deal harder. . . .”
