IRVINE : Turtle Rock Area Gets First Graffiti
- Share via
Police are investigating the first reported case of graffiti in the Turtle Rock area, where black paint was sprayed on a wall at an entrance to the community.
The markings covered an area 6 to 8 feet wide on the small concrete wall that encloses a greenbelt near the junction of Campus and Turtle Rock drives. The graffiti were reported Jan. 1, Detective Mike Welch said.
Although nearby University High School occasionally is hit with graffiti, cases in Irvine residential areas are “few and far between,” Welch said.
Police don’t know if the graffiti is gang-related, Welch said.
