Pasadena : Bike Task Force Funded
The city’s newly created Bicycle Task Force was granted $14,418 Tuesday to pay for its implementation.
The Board of Directors approved the money, which will pay staff members from nine city departments who will work on the task force for four months. So far, only one community member, Tim Brick, has been appointed to the group; others will be named soon.
Mayor Jess Hughston proposed the task force in October to make Pasadena “bicycle friendly.” The group will devise improvements for existing bikeways, create recreational programs, and develop safety and education programs.
