Paul Pasqualoni, an assistant football coach at Syracuse, was named coach of the Orangemen, replacing Dick MacPherson, who this week was named coach of the New England Patriots.
“The kids in our program can relax,” said Pasqualoni, a member of MacPherson’s staff for four years. “They don’t have to wonder what’s going to happen. Our kids can be at ease with who they are and who we are because they know who we are and where we’re coming from.”
Pasqualoni, 41, was an assistant at Southern Connecticut State and coach at Western Connecticut State before coming to Syracuse.
