U.S. figure skating champion Jill Trenary has undergone ankle surgery and will not compete at next month’s U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Minneapolis.
Trenary, the three-time U.S. champion, had surgery on her left ankle this week, coach Kathy Casey said. Casey also said by telephone from Omaha that the 23-year-old Trenary had been told by doctors to withdraw from the U.S. championships, set for Feb. 11-17 in Minneapolis.
