Manufacturer Recalls Pacifiers: Luv n’ Care is voluntarily recalling about 16,000 pacifiers because the nipple may separate, creating a fatal choking hazard, the Consumer Products Safety Commission said. The orthodontic pacifiers were sold nationwide beginning in October, 1989. They come in blue, pink, yellow and white and have TIDY embossed on them. The firm asked retailers to stop selling the pacifier in October. Consumers are asked to return the pacifiers to the store where purchased for a refund. Those with questions may call (318) 388-4916 or write the company at 2813 DeSiard St., Monroe, La., 71201.
