In response to the Persian Gulf crisis, the Los Angeles Police Department has established a 24-hour telephone number for the reporting of terrorist activity.
The number is (213) 485-2570 and a police spokesman emphasized that the number is for receiving information only; it is not an information hot line.
The spokesman said any person in imminent physical danger should call the regular 911 emergency number.
