Monterey Park : Council OKs Employee Pact

Middle-management city employees will receive a 5.5% salary increase in June, and a 3% salary increase in February, 1992, under an agreement approved by the City Council Monday night.
The salary hikes and added perks, such as dental benefits for administrative assistants, planners, librarians, city engineers and other positions, will cost the city an additional $100,059 in this fiscal year, and $106,236 in the 1991-92 fiscal year, said Mario Beas, director of personnel.
