Airport Names New Assistant Manager

Obie Schooley, 42, has been named assistant manager at John Wayne Airport, filling the vacancy created when Jan Mittermeier became the facility’s manager last year.
Mittermeier selected Schooley for the $76,000-a-year post from among several applicants, officials said. Schooley previously served as the airport’s accounting chief and helped develop the financial plan for the airport’s $310-million expansion program.
