Tandon Corp., moving to bolster its U.S. sales, named George C. Platt as vice president and general manager of its Tandon National Sales Corp. subsidiary, which directs Tandon’s sales to large corporate customers.
Moorpark-based Tandon makes personal computers, 95% of which are sold in Europe. The company is trying to increase its domestic sales.
Tandon also named Frank Nordyke as vice president and general manager of Tandon Direct Sales Corp., a unit that sells PCs directly to users of the equipment through telephone orders.
