Notre Dame’s Marcaccini to Miss 2 Weeks Because of Elbow Injury

G. C. Marcaccini, Notre Dame High’s leading scorer and rebounder, sustained a sprained right elbow over the weekend in a pickup game and will be sidelined for two weeks, according to Coach Mick Cady.
Marcaccini, a 6-foot-5 senior guard-forward, has helped Notre Dame (16-3) to a 7-0 start in Mission League play. He is averaging 21 points and nine rebounds a game and was expecting to play in front of Division I college scouts this week against Alemany and St. Paul.
Marcaccini is wearing a removable cast and is receiving daily therapy from the school trainer.
Marcello Anderson-Tellez will start in place of Marcaccini, and Monte, G. C.’s younger brother, might be given more playing time, Cady said. Monte, a 6-4 sophomore, is averaging eight points.
