Seth E. Schofield, president of USAir and vice chairman of the parent USAir Group, was elected chief executive of the Arlington, Va., airline and president of the holding company. Schofield, 51, will succeed Edwin I. Colodny when the longtime airline official reaches the company’s retirement age of 65 in June.
