ROUNDUP : Merrill Lynch Bounces Back Into Black After Loss in 1989

The giant New York financial services company reported fourth-quarter earnings of $30.3 million, contrasted with a net loss of $361.8 million in the 1989 period. Revenue rose fractionally to $2.8 billion. For the full year, the firm earned $191.9 million, contrasted with a net loss of $213.4 million in 1989. The firm said the results reflect progress in achieving structural cost reduction.
