An employee of an Oxnard auto glass store was slightly injured Thursday when a man trying to rob the store held a knife to her throat, police said.
Merilee Halterman, 21, of Glendale was working alone at 1:30 p.m. in the office of US Auto Glass on North Oxnard Boulevard when a man entered the store, held a four-inch buck knife to her throat and demanded money, said Oxnard Police Officer Bruce Reed.
Halterman fell to the ground screaming, and the man ran out of the store, Reed said.
Halterman suffered two slight cuts on her neck and one on her face but did not require medical attention, Reed said.
