Subway Passenger Pushes Panhandler Onto Tracks

NEW YORK — A subway passenger who pushed a panhandler onto the tracks was arrested Saturday while waiting for his train by an off-duty parole officer who witnessed the incident, police said.
Joseph D’Agostino, 33, was rescued from the tracks by the parole officer and was treated for minor injuries, police said. Charges against the subway passenger were pending.
