THE GULF WAR : Information Kits

Controller Gray Davis has unveiled the state’s “Operation Desert Storm INFORMATION KIT.” The package, available to the legal staffs of the state’s military organizations, contains information on tax relief and other services available to soldiers serving in the Gulf. Tax breaks include an exemption of combat-zone pay from taxable income, postponement of tax filing deadlines, and suspension of penalties and interest on taxes owed.
