New Rockwell Receiver: Rockwell International unveiled what it described as the world’s smallest receiver for the Global Positioning System, a satellite-based navigational system that can tell users their precise location on Earth. The receiver unit, measuring 2 1/2 by 4 inches, is the internal electronics that would be supplied to other manufacturers for use in navigational devices for cars, trucks, trains, boats and hikers, Rockwell said. The unit costs $450 in small quantities and will be produced at the El Paso plant.
