Glenn S. Schafer has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Co. in Newport Beach. In addition, James C. Males was promoted to vice president of sales and account management for Guaranteed Investments, a business unit of Pacific Mutual.
