Remains Identified as Those of U.S. Officer

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon said Wednesday the remains of an American serviceman missing in Operation Desert Storm have been identified as those of Air Force Capt. Stephen R. Phillis, 30.
No hometown was provided, but the A-10 pilot was assigned to the 354th Tactical Fighter Wing based at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base, S.C.
