GARDEN GROVE — Two Garden Grove police detectives revived a 15-month-old boy Tuesday who had stopped breathing after he apparently got his neck twisted in his seat belt.
Brian Lee was lying unconscious on the floor of his mother’s living room in the 11200 block of Mount Drive when police arrived about 10:30 a.m., authorities said.
The toddler apparently was strangled by the seat belt of an infant’s car seat, police said. How that happened is unknown, Sgt. Paul Prince said.
“Somehow he had his neck accidentally twisted,” he said.
The infant was transported to Garden Grove Medical Center and later released, Prince said.
