COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Leonhardt Paces CLU’s 21-3 Win With 3 Home Runs and 2 Doubles

Cal Lutheran’s David Leonhardt was king for a day Tuesday at Occidental, where the senior Kingsman clubbed three home runs and two doubles and racked up a school-record 16 total bases in Cal Lutheran’s 21-3 nonconference pasting of the host Tigers.
Leonhardt, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound second baseman, upped his home run total to nine. Jay Lucas, Danny Weis, Peter Washington and Tim Lewis also homered in Cal Lutheran’s 20-hit attack.

Harbor 11, Mission 0--Harbor’s Carey Lundstrom allowed only one hit and one walk and struck out six in six innings in a Southern California Athletic Conference game at Mission.
The Master’s 6-12, Pt. Loma Nazarene 7-11--Dan O’Sullivan of The Master’s hit a grand slam in the seventh inning of the second game to tie the score and the Mustangs scored one in the eighth to earn a split of a doubleheader at The Master’s.
SOFTBALL
UC Riverside 5, CS Northridge 4 (13 innings)--Northridge’s Cami Allen (12-14), who entered the game in the sixth inning in relief of starter Heather Lindstrom, gave up the winning run in the 13th inning.
MEN’S TENNIS
Long Beach City 5, Pierce 1--Long Beach, ranked third in the state, beat Pierce for the first time in 25 years in the quarterfinals of the Southern California regional.
