John Sununu’s Air Travel

Sununu doesn’t add up. We all know what Sununu did; but it’s only fair to play according to the strict rules he has set up, and to do that we must look at the math.
He has been in his sublime position of absolute power for 27 months. He used government aircraft on 63 trips. That is approximately 2.3 trips per month. This compares to 10 Donald Regan trips of a similar nature over two years, and 10 trips for James Baker when he was chief of staff over four years--or two-fifths trip and one-fifth trip per month, respectively.
We all know, at least as far as his pomposity and arrogance are concerned, that Sununu has been an effective chief of staff. But has he really been five times more effective than was Donald Regan, or 10 times better than James Baker?
Maybe it’s a different kind of math that wreaks such poetic justice--geometry: What comes around goes around.
