John Sununu’s Air Travel

We are truly a strange nation. After electing the all-time boob to the presidency two times, and then his understudy, after seeing the fruits of Reaganomics, after the monstrous Iran-Contra duplicity, after seeing what happens when we shoot from the hip and fail to plan for the terrible suffering resulting from the “great victory” in the Middle East, can we actually be shocked by the antics of one of the elite members of the Administration?
Do the thousands of dollars Sununu wasted mean very much compared to the millions lost by the elderly in the savings-and-loan collapse, or the billions going for defense while we watch our homeless wither away in cold alleys and our education system get worse and worse? It makes me wonder what, if we have any, our national priorities are. I can only hope that at some point we wake up and throw this bunch of elitist self-serving jerks out of office and put those with true sensitivity and intelligence back in charge.
