BEACH TOUR: Movie producer Michael Shamberg was scouting some coastal locales for the film version of best-selling thriller “Horse Latitudes” (E2). With a screenwriter and author Robert Ferrigno, he checked out the manses of Lido Isle, the date shack at Crystal Cove and the oil derricks of Sunset Beach. But the producer of “A Fish Called Wanda” fame was smitten by the Balboa Cinema. . . . “This would be a great place for the movie to premiere,” he remarked.
