Mayor Bradley and L.A. Crime

Mayor Tom Bradley assures Asians that only blacks and Latinos are killing each other in Los Angeles (“L.A. a Safe City, Bradley Assures Japanese,” April 25, Metro).
I hope that the electorate of Los Angeles, regardless of ethnic background, remembers this message when election time comes around. The implication in Bradley’s message is that it is OK for gangs to kill each other as long as they only kill Latinos or African-Americans. Just don’t kill Asian tourists. That’s bad for business.
