Reader’s Digest Assn. Inc.: The Pleasantville, N.Y., publisher said third-quarter net income surged 27% to $81.2 million, while revenue jumped 15.8% to $640.6 million. The firm said that in the first nine months, it has already exceeded its earnings for all of fiscal 1990 and is looking forward to finishing fiscal 1991 well ahead of last year.
