A car driven by a suspected drunk driver crashed on the Long Beach Freeway early Thursday, killing the driver’s younger brother, who was a passenger, authorities said.
Honn Ho, 25, of Long Beach, was booked on suspicion of manslaughter and felony drunk driving in the death of his brother, Sok Ho, 23, California Highway Patrol Officer Lyle Whitten said.
Authorities said Ho was driving faster than 90 m.p.h. about 2:30 a.m. when the vehicle veered in the direction of the transition road to the San Diego Freeway. The car missed the turnoff and crashed into a guardrail, spinning around and ejecting Sok Ho. He died of internal injuries at a hospital, authorities said. His brother, who was only slightly injured, was booked into Long Beach city jail.
