The body of an Olivenhain man was found Thursday beside his mangled car off Del Dios Highway in Escondido, authorities said.
Brian Joe Angelini, 34, was found by a friend shortly after noon, according to investigator George Dickason of coroner’s office.
Angelini apparently lost control of his Mercedes Benz while driving west on Del Dios Highway early Thursday morning near Camino De Estrellas, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
Angelini was thrown from the car as it went off an embankment and flipped over into a ravine, authorities said.
Angelini lived in the 800 block of Calle Santa Cruz and is survived by his wife, according to Dickason. He apparently headed a small real estate company.
