My earliest memory of Mike Port was seeing him on TV berating certain players for not signing contracts on his terms. Fittingly, the man who dumped such greats as Rod Carew, Doug DeCinces, Bob Boone and Brian Downing now gets to know what it feels like to get the pink slip.
