China Will Send Purchasing Delegation to U.S.: In a move to soften mounting trade tension, China is sending a delegation to the United States this week to buy American goods, the official Xinhua News Agency reported. Its three- to four-week stay will coincide with President Bush’s announcement on whether China will continue to enjoy most-favored nation trade status. The news agency said a similar buying delegation last October signed contracts to purchase $700 million worth of goods.
