Germany’s Rolf Aldag outsprinted a group of 19 riders to win the third stage, while Greg Oravetz, of Huntington Beach, finished second to move into the overall lead of the Tour Du Pont cycling race.
Aldag completed the 80-mile Arlington, Va., race in 2 hours 55 minutes 36 seconds. Oravetz was 1 1/2 bike-lengths behind.
