Estancia Golfers Seek 3rd Straight Title

The Estancia High School golf team, which has won the Southern Section team championship the past two seasons, will try for another title beginning at 8 a.m. today at La Cumbre Golf and Country Club in Santa Barbara.
Estancia won the Southern Regional competition last Monday with 401 strokes at Mesa Verde Country Club. Dana Hills and Huntington Beach, which each shot 409, also qualified from the regional. Sunny Hills, the only other Orange County team competing today, won the Central Regional Monday with a 395 at Sun Lakes Country Club in Banning.
Other top teams include:
Hart, winner of the Western Regional; Palm Desert, winner of the Eastern; and Westlake, the winner of the Northern.
