A 28-year-old Gaithersburg, Md., woman has filed a paternity suit against the Lakers’ Magic Johnson, seeking child support for a 2-year-old son, the Washington Post reported. Lavata Wallace, who filed a petition for paternity and child support May 2 in Montgomery County Circuit Court, said Johnson is the father of her son, Joshua Shaka Wallace, born in April 1989. Lon Rosen, Johnson’s agent, says the star has never met Wallace, adding that two independent blood tests have “positively excluded” Johnson as the father. Maryland child-support enforcement officials, however, have asked California authorities to conduct more extensive blood tests of Johnson, and to investigate Wallace’s claim.
