Mozart & Then Some: San Francisco will have its share of symphony and opera performances to note the bicentennial of Mozart’s death, but it also will have a touch of the bizarre. A three-month “Mozart and His Time” festival, launched Wednesday, will include a fashion show of Austrian undergarments of the late 18th Century, and a ballet staged by a local equestrian club in which horses will perform to Mozart music and a soprano will sing arias from “The Magic Flute” while swinging on a trapeze. At the hands-on science museum Exploratorium, the staff is setting up tuned wine glasses on which visitors will be invited to play Mozart melodies.
