Pedestrian Deaths

The effort by state transportation officials to reduce pedestrian deaths in the U.S.-Mexico border area by reducing the number of Interstate 5 traffic lanes near the international boundary is a step in the wrong direction.
A more logical approach would be the construction of pedestrian bridges over border-area freeways so that all illegal aliens who openly violate our law by sneaking into our country would be protected from U.S. citizens legally driving their vehicles in compliance with the vehicle code.
