ACLU Takes Aim: The American Civil Liberties Union is launching the ACLU Arts Censorship Project to coordinate its activities in the fight against censorship, including challenging legislation to require warning labels for music and pursing a lawsuit against the National Endowment of the Arts’ so-called “decency” standard. The New York-based project will also focus on protecting the rights of video store owners and customers to rent, buy and sell movies of their choice.
