Spain to Talk With U.S. Over Airline Dispute: Spain has agreed to a U.S. proposal to hold talks immediately in Washington to iron out problems on new airline routes. The dispute arose when American Airlines and United Airlines last week announced new routes to Spain, and Spain refused to authorize landing rights in Madrid. That led the United States to threaten to reciprocate by suspending the landing rights of Spain’s carrier Iberia.
