The program, held at Mills College in Oakland, singles out top students statewide for instruction from arts professionals. This summer’s session, to run from July 14 to Aug. 11, will include members of the Kronos Quartet chamber music ensemble among the instructors.

The local students, whose talents range from writing to the visual and performing arts, will be honored June 5 at a private reception sponsored by the Ventura Arts Council in Ventura’s Livery Arts Center.
