Hollywood Parade

Some of the nicest things at the parade were happening off the streets, among the crowds gathered to watch.
I took a picture of a LAPD policeman as he spontaneously bent down to help a little boy fix the jacket tied around his waist. No words were exchanged before this action, and none were needed afterward.
Of course, this is not something that you’d want to videotape for the collection of scandalous police behavior incidents--which attract more attention than all of the kind deeds done daily between Los Angeles police and citizens.
Another great feeling that I noticed at the parade was the huge numbers of people of all races and ethnic groups that make up our metropolitan area having fun together as the parade passed by.
