VENTURA : Pedestrian, 73, Hit by Car; Driver Arrested

A 73-year-old Ventura man suffered minor injuries when he was struck by a car while crossing the street in front of the Ventura County Medical Center, police said.
Joe Smilor was in a crosswalk on Loma Vista Road about 6 p.m. Friday when he was hit by a vehicle driven by Stephen Allen Conley, 34, of Tujunga, police said.
Smilor was listed in good condition Saturday at the medical center. Conley was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, police said.
