Harley Frankel, a former high-ranking member of the Portland Trail Blazer front office, has been named executive vice president and assistant to the owner for the Clippers.
Frankel will probably be based in the Beverly Hills office of owner Donald T. Sterling, but his role is primarily with basketball operations, namely doing some of the contracts and assisting General Manager Elgin Baylor on trades. His responsibilities were similar in Portland.
