European Plant Plan: Rainbow Technologies Inc., a maker of software protection products, plans to use part of the money raised in a public stock offering to build a $2.5-million plant in Europe, according to a federal filing.
The offering, which could raise $14.6 million based on the current price of $14.62 a share, would fund the company’s international expansion and fund possible acquisitions, according to a prospectus filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Irvine-based company earned $914,000 on revenue of $4.7 million for the second quarter ended June 30, compared to earnings of $704,000 on revenue of $4.4 million a year earlier.
