Two armed men wearing masks confronted employees of an Oxnard grocery store shortly before midnight Sunday and escaped with about $2,000, Oxnard police said Monday.
The robbers, armed with handguns, forced employees of Grocery Warehouse on Saviers Road to open a safe and hand over the cash, a store manager said. The store, owned by Albertson’s, was closed and employees were stocking merchandise when the robbery occurred, he said.
Police said the pair were in their 20s. One wore a ski mask and the other wore a nylon stocking over his face.
There were no injuries.
