Palmdale Man’s Body Discovered in Ditch

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the death of a 43-year-old Palmdale man whose body was found nearly buried beneath sand in a drainage ditch.
The body of Valentin Sanchez Montesdeoca was found about 7:25 p.m. Sunday in a culvert near 38602 6th St. East in Palmdale by a 12-year-old boy who was walking nearby, Deputy George Ducoulombier said Monday.
The apparent cause of death was a blow to the head, but an autopsy is pending, Ducoulombier said Monday.
