Xerox Unveils 6 New Products: The pioneer of the office copying machine is making a new splash in the color printing and copying market with the introduction today of six products, including its first color copier since 1986. Xerox is bringing out five printers and the digital color copier, said Brandon Nordin, a senior analyst with the research firm BIS Strategic Decisions. Xerox would not comment on what it planned to unveil at a New York news conference. Analyst B. Alex Henderson of Prudential Securities Inc. said the breadth of the new product line is important for Xerox. Xerox’s $2-billion printer business has the potential to grow 15% annually, but growth has languished in the mid-single digits in recent years, he said.
