Filled, at Last: After 17 months without a chief curator, Newport Harbor Art Museum has named Bruce Guenther to replace Paul Schimmel, who now holds that job at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Guenther, 43, will start Dec. 1. He previously was chief curator at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art and before that curator of contemporary art at the Seattle Art Museum.
